Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Description

Tata Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide non-medical, in-home support services to clients in the comfort of their own homes. The PCA plays a vital role in assisting clients with daily personal care needs, promoting independence, and enhancing overall quality of life. Our mission is to deliver respectful, personalized care that allows clients to remain safely and comfortably in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Dressing and undressing
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Mobility assistance and transfers
• Provide meal preparation and assistance with feeding when needed
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas)
• Assist with errands and grocery shopping as assigned
• Provide medication reminders (as permitted by state regulations and company policy)
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition to the supervising nurse or care coordinator
• Maintain accurate daily documentation of services provided
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved Personal Care Aide training program (if required by state)
• Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or related field preferred
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation (if travel is required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Compassionate and patient-centered attitude
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and daily care tasks
• Dependable and punctual
• Respectful of cultural differences and client preferences
• Services provided in clients’ private homes
• May require standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repositioning clients
• Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
